The title comes from "Voice 108".

In 2014, I dropped my Samsung Galaxy Note II from the terrasse of La Mare au Diable in Sherbrooke, QC. The screen cracked, the plastic backing split, and it was totally unusable. A few years ago, I was able to salvage most of the recordings. In season 2, episode 4 of 'Schitt's Creek', Roland is dropping David off back at the motel. Before getting out of Roland's truck, David says, "Um, listen, I don't have a lot to my name right now, but I do have one thing." Roland asks, "Self respect?" David replies, "No. Taste." Some sculptor said something at some point about getting rid of the marble that isn't the sculpture or something like that. Most of what is produced when making art is thrown away. Art is a very energy-inefficient process. The majority of the time and energy used to create art is curation: choosing what to throw away. Iterating upon things that are to be thrown away because they are not yet the thing that should be. These recordings are just the garbage that wasn't yet 'The Hundred Light-Year Diary' by Daniel Cowman. Are they just that, though? I don't know. I don't even know what most of them are. I haven't listened to them all. Neither will anyone else. I'm sort of scared, actually. What did I say? Did I say anything stupid? What if people listen to this for some reason? What if they think I'm not cool? What if they think I'm a narcissistic douche? What if women don't find me attractive? What if other artists don't think I'm a good artist? What if I will be alone forever like the nagging voice inside of me keeps telling me over and over and over and over and over again?
